Antony Ernst is Orchestra Director of the Royal Danish Orchestra, but is also active as a dramaturg, director, writer, lecturer and translator.

Antony was  Manager of Artistic Planning with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg from 2011 - 2017, and has previously worked for the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra as well as companies such as Opera Australia, Staatsoper Dresden, Bell Shakespeare Company, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Sydney Symphony, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Opera Frankfurt and the Teatro Maestranza in Seville. He recently directed a semi-staged version of Peer Gynt with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.
